Thank You For Helping Us

In September this year our director, Eamonn Gribben, participated in the Great North Run for a second time to raise money for 3 year old Carter who used to attend Harton Village Kindergarten.

Your Donations

We would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who donated to help Carter and allow him to get the care he needs. We are extremely proud to have been able to help such a great cause and grateful to have had the support of so many amazing staff, parents and family members who have helped us raise this incredible amount for Carter. Through your support we have managed to raise over £1000!

We would also like extend our thanks to Gompels Healthcare, Beacon Electrical, Travel Chapter and Sapphire Studios for also supporting our fundraising, together they helped us raise an additional £140 for Carter's surgery.

About Carter

Carter suffers from a condition known as Spina Bifida, which literally means ‘split spine’, and is when a baby's spine and spinal cord don't develop properly in the womb, causing a gap in the spine. In spina bifida, part of the neural tube doesn't develop or close properly, leading to defects in the spinal cord and bones of the spine, Carter's condition has caused him to suffer a number of symptoms including requiring the use of a frame to walk. If you want to learn more about spina bifida the NHS website has a lot of useful information on it.

This September, Carter will be undergoing an operation which we hope will grant him the ability to walk unaided. All the funds we raise will be put towards the cost of the operation and to support Carter and his family through this tough period.
